Kids Living Well will host their August 27th monthly meeting at 9 am with a presentation on “The interplay between mental health, behavioral health and substance use issues,”by Dr. Lori Holleran Steiker, professor a the UT School of Social Work. Also there will be a vote on whether to move forward with Letter of Intent to explore possible merger between Kids Living Well and Travis County Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
To our Travis County Youth Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (TCYSAPC) family, membership, and community: TCYSAPC has been working with Kids Living Well (KLW) for the past year and this partnership has been one that has brought about a tremendous amount of good to the community. For all future endeavors, the 2 coalitions will no longer operate separately but will merge. Kids Living Well incorporates a whole health approach to address youth substance use prevention in our community. We are excited about this transition.
