YSAPC Committee

  • Executive Committee: formed in 2013 with 4 positions – Chair, Co-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary, 5th position of Past Chair added in summer 2015.  Executive Committee charged with recruiting/enhancing membership base, recruiting sector representatives, writing ByLaws, bringing forth items to be voted on by the membership,  running membership meetings, communicating with membership, responsible for strategic plan, securing fiscal support, holding Coalition events…
  • Summit Planning: Planned both the 2013 and 2015 Prevention Summits, finding speakers, designing Summit content, facilitating activities, providing outreach and registration, handling logistics, and debriefing both summits.
  • Youth Involvement: Charged with increasing youth involvement in the Coalition.  Facilitated a video public service announcement contest for 2015 Prevention Summit – wrote guidelines, communicated with organizations working with youth, judged PSA entries, elicited contest incentives, and ensured that PSAs were viewed at the Summit and entry participants were included in youth panel.
  • Communications: Charged with designing and maintaining website with portal to ATIC’s, Substance Use Services Inventory, creating and disseminating Coalition outreach materials, working on Coalition’s messaging to community
